Every year in the month of May, the Kunstenfestivaldesarts celebrates contemporary art: theater, dance, performance, visual arts. It’s an international festival that lasts for 3 weeks, with exhibitions and performances in some 20 theaters and art centers as well as in selected public spaces throughout Brussels. The Kunstenfestivaldesarts is also a very cosmopolitan city festival that aims to break all kinds of territorial, linguistic and cultural divides, and to encourage dialogue between people of all origins. In 2016, no less than 26.500 people visited the Kunstenfestivaldesarts!
From 5 to 27 May 2017, the Kunstenfestivaldesarts focuses on transcending borders in all possible ways. The full program is online now.
This year the festival center has moved to Palais de la Dynastie, at the foot of the Mont des Arts. It’s open every day during the Kunstenfestivaldesarts and serves as a meeting point and a place for artistic interventions.
Ticket sale for the Kunstenfestivaldesarts starts on 13 April. All information is on the website.
